If I mount the curb in my driver's test will I fail?

Asked a year ago

Will I fail my test if I bump or mount the curb, or will they allow me to continue?

Mounting the curb under most circumstances such as a mistake will count against your grade, but will not incur an automatic failure in most cases so long as the mistake is acknowledged and corrected immediately. The only time you are ever be allowed on the curb without being penalized is if the instructor specifically tells you do do so in the event of an emergency or serious obstruction. Avoid touching the curb at any cost.

So long as you acknowledge that you mounted the curb and correct that immediately, you will not fail. Touching the curb will not result in failure but it will result in a mark. Failing instantly only occurs when you deliberately mount the curb, incur damage to the vehicle, or block traffic.

When the driver mounts a curb its considered an infraction, however most cases if you respond quickly, correcting your mistake, you will not face penalty. If the car occurs damage, you will be penalized. If any car around you receives damage, you will fail immediately.

Depending on the situation yes and no. If you get up on the curb, notice your mistake and fix it immediately you might not even get penalized for it. If you stray onto the curb too much and fail to correct fast enough, you will fail immediately.

If its an emergency, you will be forgiven.
