Are highway driving lessons available?
Yes, if your instructor feels you’re ready, you can practice driving on highways near our locations. Some of the roads include:
- I-95: Runs along the East Coast and is accessible from Philadelphia.
- I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway): Runs through Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
- I-476 (Blue Route): Connects I-95 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike and runs through Montgomery and Delaware Counties.
- I-276 (Pennsylvania Turnpike): Major toll highway running through Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
- US Route 1: Runs through Philadelphia and Bucks County.
- US Route 202: Passes through Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties.
Is there any provision for evening driving lessons?
Yes, we offer lessons every day of the week, including evenings. Evening lessons are a key part of our comprehensive training, allowing you to experience driving in different conditions and improve your skills.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off services for driving lessons?
While we prefer students to come to one of our six main locations, we do offer pickup and drop-off services for an additional fee based on your specific situation. It’s all about making your learning experience as convenient as possible.
What vehicles are used for training?
You’ll be training in our fleet of Mini Coopers and Teslas. These cars are equipped with all the necessary safety features and are well-maintained to provide you with a comfortable learning experience.
Can I use a Driven2Drive vehicle for my state driver’s exam?
Absolutely! Our PennDOT Day of Test Service covers everything from scheduling the exam to taking you to the road test location in a Driven2Drive car. It’s designed to make your test day as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Are there other students in the car during my lesson?
No way. All of our lessons are one-on-one. It’s just you and your instructor, ensuring you get the personalized attention you need to become a confident driver.
How are payments processed?
Payments can be made easily online with a credit card through our website or over the phone with one of our representatives. We strive to make the payment process as convenient as possible.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit and debit cards. We do accept cash and checks but for cash, it would need to be scheduled in person, and with checks, we wouldn't confirm or proceed with lessons until cleared (checks is up to our discretion depending on circumstance).
What is your policy for rescheduling lessons?
Life happens, and we get it. If you need to reschedule, just give us at least 48 hours' notice. This allows us to manage our schedule and accommodate other students.
What happens if I am late for my driving lesson?
If you're running late, please let us know as soon as possible. The lesson will still end at the scheduled time, and unfortunately, we can’t make up for the missed time. It’s important to arrive on time to get the full benefit of your lesson.
Do students receive a certificate after completing the training?
Yes, after you complete at least 6 hours of training, you’ll receive a certificate of completion. This certificate can be useful for lowering your car insurance premiums and proves you’ve had professional training.
What if I need extra lessons beyond my package?
If you need more lessons after completing your package, you can purchase additional lessons at a prorated rate. Just call our office (610) 664-7400 for details, and we’ll get you set up.
What Documentation Do I Need To Provide When Applying for a Learner’s Permit Over The Age of 18?
If you are over 18, you will need:
- Proof of date of birth and identification. These documents must be originals (photocopies will not be accepted).
- Your Social Security card (which must be signed)
- Applicable fee.
Be sure to read carefully the specific documents required for a PA permit application.
What Should I Do If My PA Driver’s License Is Lost or Stolen?
If your driver’s license is lost or stolen, you can apply online for a duplicate or at a PennDOT driver’s license center. There may be a fee for the replacement.
What Are The Age Requirements For Obtaining a PA Driver’s License?
You must be at least 16 years old to obtain a learner’s permit. 16-year-olds can still obtain a Class C (non-commercial) driver’s license but they will need to have their driver’s permit for at least 6 months. The age requirement for a Class M (motorcycle) license is also 16.

Can I Apply for a PA Driver’s License If I’m Not a U.S. Citizen But Have Legal Residency?
Yes, you can apply for a PA driver’s license if you are a legal resident but not a U.S. citizen. You will need to provide proof of legal status.

What is required during the Pennsylvania driver’s road test?
The Pennsylvania driving test includes parallel parking and demonstrating safe driving skills on the road. We’ll make sure you’re well-prepared for all aspects of the test.
What Is on The PA Road Test?
The PA road test assesses your practical driving skills. The Pennsylvania road test consists of three parts. Knowledge of Vehicle Controls, Parallel Parking, and general driving on a PennDOT-approved testing route. No highway or 3-point turns are evaluated. A third-party road test at Driven2Drive is identical to a PennDOT road test.
How Is The PA Driving Test Scored?
The PA driving test is typically scored based on a point system. You are allowed to accumulate up to 30 points during the test. Points are deducted for various errors and violations. If you accumulate 31 or more points, you will fail the test. Common errors that result in point deductions include improper turns, failure to yield, speeding and not obeying traffic signals.
How Many Points Is a Ticket in PA?
The number of points for a traffic violation in Pennsylvania varies depending on the severity of the offense. Minor violations may carry 2 or 3 points, while more serious violations can result in 4 or more points. Accumulating too many points on your driving record can lead to license suspension and higher insurance premiums.
Is There a Written Knowledge Test for Getting a PA Driver’s License?
Yes, there is a written knowledge test that you need to pass as part of the driver’s license application process. Study the Pennsylvania Driver’s Manual to prepare with apps in the Apple store and Google store for PA Permit Test.
How Long Does It Typically Take To Receive My PA Driver’s License After Passing The Tests?
At PennDOT, you will get a temporary plastic driver’s license right away. At a third-party license testing center like Driven2Drive, we post the result into PennDOT’s system and stamp your permit to validate it as their temporary driver’s license (which is valid for 120 days). PennDOT will then issue a camera card by mail, which you should receive in 2-3 weeks from the date of the road test. The processing time can vary, but you should receive your PA driver’s license by mail within a few weeks after passing the required tests.
How Often Do I Need To Renew My PA Driver’s License?
Pennsylvania driver’s licenses are generally valid for four years. You will receive a renewal notice by mail prior to expiration. Renew your driver’s license online for your convenience.

How Do I Apply for a Learner’s Permit In Pennsylvania If I’m Over 18?
If you’re over 18 and applying for a learner’s permit, you’ll need to complete the application process, including completing a physical examination and having a doctor sign the permit application. You will also need to pass a vision test and a written knowledge test.
What Is The Process for Scheduling and Taking The Written Knowledge Test for a Learner’s Permit In Pennsylvania?
The knowledge test is the same as the Permit test in PA. You can schedule the written knowledge test appointment, typically at a PennDOT driver’s license center. After passing the test, you’ll receive your learner’s permit.
What Are The Restrictions of a Junior License in PA?
A junior license in Pennsylvania is typically issued to drivers who are under 18 years old. There are several rules and restrictions associated with a junior license, including:
-During the first six months, junior drivers may not have more than one passenger under the age of 18 who is not an immediate family member unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
– For the next six months (months 7 to 12), junior drivers may have up to three passengers under the age of 18 who are not immediate family members unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
